Conrad T. Swanson (Ted) attended the University of Colorado School of Law, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Law Review, graduated with honors in 1988 and was inducted into the Order of the Coif.
After practicing with a large firm in Denver, Mr. Swanson settled in northern Colorado in 1992. He serves clients throughout northern Colorado.
In addition to practicing law, Mr. Swanson, with his spouse, runs a ranch north of Fort Collins and manages other agricultural properties in the Mid-West and the Great Plains. He has been or is involved in a number of organizations, including the Legacy Land Trust, the Larimer County Agricultural Advisory Board, the Larimer County Open Lands Advisory Board, Larimer County Stock Growers Association, Northern Colorado Water Association and his church council. For recreation he enjoys training and competing with horses and playing ice hockey.
Mr. Swanson works with clients on a variety of legal matters, including transactional matters and litigation. He represents clients involved in legal disputes involving family matters such as divorce, personal injury lawsuits, and other types of contract-related or commercial disputes. He also represents individuals and businesses that are in financial distress and need to file bankruptcy or negotiate with creditors. In a related area, he is willing to assist clients who have tax problems with the state or federal government. Mr. Swanson also enjoys advising and assisting clients as they plan and manage their affairs, and therefore practices in the area of real estate transactions, small businesses and estate planning.
Ted was an ordained Lutheran pastor before he entered law school. This background is useful in his family law practice and has trained him to be a skilled mediator.
